TYTANO

Urban Ecosystem Of Visions

Tytano Foundation revitalizes unused postindustrial spaces and brings them back to use by local communities.

Offering space, creating a wide range of opportunities, supporting and promoting cultural and social events – these are the main goals of the Foundation. Tytano is the author of the concept and manager of one of the most fashionable places in Krakow, i.e. cultural and entertaining complex at Dolnych Młynów Street. This is an inspiring and full of breath space for creative initiatives as well as a friendly place for both artists and enthusiasts of culture; business people and social activists.

This is an absolute must on the cultural map of the city, crowded with tourists and inhabitants of Krakow. There were almost 300 cultural, artistic, charitable and social events organized on the area of the complex over the last three years.

In short, this is a city within a city, where each day (and night) is the best of all possible ones!

Dolne Młyny hosted such events as: Krakow Photomonth Festival, International Graphic Art Triennale Krakow; festivals: Unsound, Etiuda&Anima, Conrad Festival, NETIA OFF CAMERA, Miłosz Festival, FOCA, Sacrum Profanum, Non-Fiction Festival and Kołłątajowski Przegląd Sztuki.

The events included movie productions, fashion shows, various fairs, film projections and performances. What’s more, KTO Theatre rehearses in the complex.

Tytano established cooperation with lots of renown institutions such as:

  • The Jagiellonian Univeristy in Krakow, the Pedagogical University of Krakow, the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, the Krakow Schools of Art and Fashion Design;
  • The Juliusz Słowacki Theatre in Krakow, Quadro Theatre, Barakah Theatre, KTO Theatre, Stowarzyszenie Teatr Nowe Przestrzenie;
  • Krakow Festival Office, Miłosz Festival, DKMS Foundation, Nośna Foundation, Visual Arts Foundation, Feminoteka Foundation, City of Literature Foundation, Film Spring Open Foundation, Tone Foundation;
  • Institute of Visual Culture and Bunkier Sztuki Gallery.

Tytano invites all institutions and people who want to develop their activities to cooperation: interesting authors, freelancers, those who search for new artistic experiences and appreciate the artistic melting pot, where business solutions combine with culture.
